Anne E. Bomar is senior vice president and general manager of Dominion East Ohio.
She oversees all aspects of Dominion East Ohio’s natural gas distribution company, including production, gathering,storage, distribution and transmission assets, and Dominion Hope in West Virginia.
Born in Fairmont, W.Va., Bomar earned a bachelor's degree in economics from Cornell University and a law degree from the Marshall-Wythe School of Law at the College of William and Mary. She joined Consolidated Natural Gas (CNG) in 1985, and held various positions in Corporate Planning, Rates and Gas Procurement prior to joining the company’s legal department. As an attorney with CNG, Bomar spent nine years in Washington, D.C., practicing before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission during the unbundling of interstate pipeline services.
She served as director–Rates & Certificates at CNG Transmission from May 1999 until CNG’s merger with Dominion Resources in 2000, when she was named managing counsel–Gas Transportation & Storage in the Dominion legal department. In January 2003, she was named managing director–Transmission Rates & Regulation for Dominion. She was named vice president–Federal Regulation in February 2006 and vice president and general manager–Dominion East Ohio in July 2009. She assumed her current position in Dec. 1, 2009.
Upon her 1991 graduation from the College of William and Mary, Bomar was awarded membership in the Order of the Coif. At William and Mary, she also served on the Administrative Law Review and was on the student faculty of Marshall-Wythe's innovative Legal Skills program.
She is a board member of the American Red Cross of Greater Cleveland, and is serving as co-chair of the Eastern marker Region for the 2010 United Way Campaign, Greater Cleveland Chapter. Bomar is also participating in the Leadership Cleveland Class of 2011.
