John Gunnells serves as the Senior Manager, State Affairs with the American Gas Association. In this role, John is the primary liaison between AGA and state public utility commissions nationwide. Prior to joining AGA, John served the Georgia Public Service Commission as an analyst in its Natural Gas Unit, where he was a project manager for rate cases and was the legislative liaison for the unit.

John received a Bachelor of Arts degree in history and political science from Birmingham-Southern College, and he received a Master of Public Administration degree with a concentration in policy analysis and evaluation from Georgia State University.
