Kristine Esposo Telford is Vice President, State Engagement and Public Affairs for the Edison Electric Institute (EEI), the association that represents all U.S. investor-owned electric companies. She leads a team responsible for outreach to state elected officials and regulators, engagement with external stakeholder groups, as well as public affairs and issue advocacy campaigns. Kristine is a past co-chair of EEI’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council.

Prior to joining EEI in 2017, Kristine worked at several prominent DC-based public affairs firms, providing counsel to Fortune 500 clients and executing high-stakes issue advocacy campaigns. Her work specialized in grassroots communications, strategic partnerships, and coalition management around advocacy groups, think tanks, and issue experts.

Kristine was named to Public Utility Fortnightly’s inaugural “Fortnightly Under Forty” list in 2019 and was a finalist for Women in Government Relations Excellence in Advocacy Award for Excellence in a State Issue Campaign. In 2024, she was named to the National Association of Asian Pacifics in Politics and Public Affairs (NAAPPPA) List of 40 Under 40.

Originally from Frederick, Maryland, Kristine graduated from The George Washington University with a B.A. in Political Science and completed graduate coursework in International Commerce and Policy at George Mason University. She resides in Northern Virginia.
